Description

The Baldor BP5000H03 Carbon Brush is a precision-manufactured electrographite brush engineered specifically for use in Baldor (now part of ABB/Baldor-Reliance) industrial DC motors. Electrographite brushes are produced through a controlled high-temperature graphitization process that yields a uniform, dense carbon structure with excellent electrical conductivity and self-lubricating properties.

This brush is designed to maintain consistent electrical contact with the motor's commutator, ensuring smooth current transfer and minimizing sparking during operation. The electrographite composition provides a favorable balance between commutator film formation and wear resistance, making it suitable for continuous-duty applications in manufacturing, material handling, and process industries.

Each brush is equipped with a flexible copper shunt lead for secure electrical connection and a spring mechanism to maintain proper brush pressure against the commutator surface. Proper installation and periodic inspection are recommended to maximize brush and commutator life.
